Formed in the spring of 1988 under the shadow of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant's billowing twin towers, CHEMIKILL is mixing searing vocals with chugging riffs and a touch of speed metal. Having never released a full-length album, CHEMIKILL's reputation grew from word-of-mouth, tape trading and a participation on the Auburn Records' Heavy Artillery compilation record in early '90s. Fast forward 30 years and the legend lives on.
CHEMIKILL from Cleveland, Ohio released a full-length studio album titled "Edge of Wasteland". Recorded and mixed at Mercenary Studios in Avon Ohio over a span of 3 years, the band faithfully recreated classic versions of "Blackened Void", "Edge of Wasteland", "Fear the Warrior" and "City Night to Roam" as well as a few deep cuts and a brand new song written in 2016 titled "Blood Red Sky". The legacy of CHEMIKILL is finally unleashed upon the world.
CHEMIKILL’s core lineup consists of guitarist Tim Piispanen, drummer Mike Seleman, vocalist Fred Flory and introducing former Auburn recording artist from the band PURGATORY, bassist Mark Alexander.
